Let me warn you ahead of time, I’m sick and my head is like a lead balloon, so I might not make a hell of a lot of sense in this post. But when has not making a hell of a lot of sense ever stopped me? NEVER! On with the post…
So I’ve been about a hundred years behind on my television viewing, since I went to the beach for my birthday week (check out my flickr pics!). Since I was sick tonight I tried to get semi-caught up. I’m still pretty far behind, but I did get to watch Dancing With The Stars. I saw Monday’s show, haven’t seen tonight’s yet.
At the end, they talked to the dudes who will be on the show. I was pretty excited about Wayne Newton and Floyd Mayweather. I hadn’t heard of most of the other dudes. But one caught my eye- he seemed pretty badass. I kept asking Jim, “Who in the hell is Mark Cuban?” He didn’t know either, so I looked him up and found his blog.
Excited, I croaked at Jim (hey, man, I’m sick, my voice has decided not to cooperate with me) “Dude, he’s a blogger!” Jim looked at me all crazy and then said, “There’s hope for you yet, maybe you WILL get on DWTS someday.” I told Jim, “Yeah, well, I failed to mention he’s a billionaire and he owns some sports team.”
“Oh,” Jim said, “Well, there still may be hope, if you ever manage to get us rich.” Yeah, like that’s gonna happen. Even so, solely based on the fact that he’s got an interesting blog, he’s got my votes. And I haven’t even seen him dance yet. Of course, that might actually be a good thing, he could dance like Tucker Carlson.

Mark Cuban made a shitload of money during the dot com years and then went on and bought the Dallas Mavericks. He’s the guy that gets fined all the time.
And, yeah, he’s a really good blogger.

He’s also the best owner in sports, and one of the few willing to speak up and challenge the commish when he feels like it is important.

Yeah, Ivy, I think you would be a Mark Cuban fan. He seems to be a rebel at heart.

He’s a cigar maker. They’re hand-rolled, on the thighs of virgins. Or so they claim.

I’m glad that he has comments, but he doesn’t seem the type to read his comments… I wonder if that calls into question his blog cred. Interesting post on your end however. Hope you recover…

Next week he’ll probably go, if not Marie or Jen.
Ivy, do you have a favorite yet? I had never heard of the Cheetah Girl, but she was amazing. Jane is all class…100 percent. But I’m not digging Jen and her partner.
Floyd will do better next week, and Wayne will stick around a few weeks, but the model guy seems to be one of the best of the men.

Mark is a doll and that personality you see on DWTS is just exactly how he is. I don’t know anyone really here (in the Dallas area) who has a bad word to say about him. Our radio and TV news shows are all backing him like crazy and flying people out to watch. I wasn’t crazy about watching him dance, but I love it that he seems like he is having a great time. He makes me smile.

I love reading stories about the guy.

I stumbled through your blog last week and came back again today due to its richness and interesting posts. Keep up the good work. Looking forward for a little read after dinner!
