Last night we went out to Blue Coast Burrito for dinner. I got a lot of nice comments and just about everyone smiled at me. I don’t know if they were smiling because they were laughing inside, or if they were afraid to *not* smile. I got this old woman that looked at me [...]

Good morning!

Why, yes, that *is* purple hair!

So, Saddam Hussein was hanged today. I oppose the death penalty, even in this case, but I am left with mixed feelings. I mean, this dude was really, *really* evil. Does being *that* evil give us a right to decide whether people live or die, though?
I don’t know. Will his dying solve some problems, or [...]

Anyone remember Night Court? That’s the inspiration for this title.
The good news is, I found my cell phone, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Megs appears to be feeling a little better today, too.
I’ve been thinking about something else that I’m worried about, though, maybe y’all can help me out. My grandma (the [...]

:(

Megs was sick throughout Christmas weekend. I took her to the doctor today and found out she has pneumonia. Now I feel like a shitty parent for not taking her to the doctor sooner.
My mom suspects my grandma has had a stroke, the hospital people had been blaming her incoherence on the fentanyl, but she’s [...]

Holy shit!

Well, at least she has a good work ethic. Sort of.

Gloom and Doom = over?

Well, Grandma finally had her surgery *today*. It was supposed to be yesterday, but her potassium level was down to a dangerously low level, so they put it off until today. The surgery went quite well, though. She should be in the hospital through Christmas- that’s the only sad part- but all in all, things [...]

First, my grandma is having yet another surgery tomorrow, this one is to fix the fistula. It’s major belly surgery, so it’s scary, but this is supposed to have a high success rate and then afterwards, she should be fixed and be able to come home, so I look at it as good news.
I’ve had [...]

Sigh…

Shitty day today, literally. Grandma had her pacemaker installed but I didn’t get to be there because I had too much other shit to do. Went to counseling today and found out I am a Brilliant Skeptic. I *so* need the book about this.
Then I found out, no paycheck today! Woot! Won’t get paid til [...]
