I think I’ve read every book in my house worth reading, so I’m re-reading this book, The Lost City of Faar right now. It’s from a series of books about a boy who finds out his destiny is to save Halla, or anything and everything, everywhere, from sure destruction.
As I read it, I’ve been thinking about whether or not there are other planets out there with life as we know it on them. Some movie I saw one time pretty much says it exactly the way I think, if there’s not other life out there, it’s a terrible waste of space. It seems to me that there must be other life on other planets, but I have to wonder why we haven’t heard from them.
Mystery Lady X and my brother are really big into space travel and exploration type stuff, I’m not really all that interested in it, except when I am reading or watching something about it. How would we react if people from another planet came to see us? Would we hate them, or like them? Would they be the next big threat? If it’s human nature not to get along, and these people aren’t humans, and they all get along, would we like them or hate them for it?
I’m more interested in time travel, anyway. I want to go back and see what Mystery Lady X was like in high school, and I’d like to go back and check out Queen Elizabeth the first, and stuff like that.
Of course, maybe aliens know how to do that. Which brings me to another question, if aliens did come to our planet and stayed here, would they be “illegal aliens” too?

My theory on life on other planets: Definately life…possibly human…but in another “dimension”..or time. like there’s a good possiblility there are other dimensions of time right now where we are. Possibly other civilizations…we just can’t “see” them.

First off, we have to get together some time because I’ve got about 20 paperbacks I could give you. I need to be rid of them anyway. I’ve overloaded other book recipients.
Second, I do think there is life on other planets. I love Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis, because it pretty much exactly describes my worldview on the situation.
Unfortunately, as fate would have it, that is NOT one of the paperbacks in my current collection. I suck like that.

“I’m not really all that interested in it, except when I am reading or watching something about it.”
So basically you said “I’m not interested it until I’m interested in it.
