My Big Boy. :)

Lots of work today, so not so much posting. But I *am* taking a break to tell you all about Nate!

He decided a couple of hours ago that he wanted to hear his “bubba undees”, which is Nate-ese for big boy undies. I figured he’d have a couple of accidents, and we’d be back in diapers in no time. Well, not so much! He stayed dry for over an hour, and I asked him if he needed to go potty, and he ran for the bathroom, sat down on the toilet, and pottied!!!

Megs and Aaron both were 3 or nearly 3 before they decided they wanted to stop wearing diapers. Could Nate actually be ahead of them? (for the second time in his life, he was ahead. He’s got a truckload of developmental delays, so normally he’s way behind the other kids in development, but he did walk before them and *hopefully* will potty train before them.)

I’m so happy! (sad that peeing in the toilet is making me so happy today, haha)

if that’s sad, then I am sad with ya. Last week the Cap’n sat on his potty seat of his own accord and peed in it. He hasn’t since and is not ready for undees, but I am thrilled.

Keep the underwear on! There’s nothing worse that wearing wet tighty whiteys. He’ll learn that soon enough. Don’t be in a big rush to change him if he has anothe accident.

Congratulations on the progress! Keep up the good work.

Yay Nate!!!!! The thing that helped me with my kids…is letting them pick out any undies they wanted at the store. They really didn’t want to mess up their pretty undies….so that helped. Just chill, and let him take the lead. best way to potty train, and I”m sure you already know that ;)
